Policy
One of the biggest lies currently peddled by those in power is that the precise wording of what they say is highly significant, and if their statements can be interpreted in more than one way then they are entirely free to choose the interpretation that suits them at the time.
Well it doesn't work like that here.
Being a common British citizen and not an ex-lawyer nor an ex-barrister common sense applies. An impression deliberately given at the time a statement is made is the 'truth'. Later reinterpretation of those originally clear statements is 'lying'. Simple.
